As a parent, you know your child better than anyone else. Kids and Family understands this and works to help you help your
child achieve his fullest potential. Kids and Family therapists and educators train parents and caregivers in child development
and interventions so that your child has opportunities to learn and grow with your family every day rather than just a few hours
per week during therapy sessions. We will work with you to determine which parts of your daily routine are the most
challenging (for example, one family might want to focus on feeding with a spoon during lunchtime, while another requests
solutions for tantrums that occur during bath time, and still another needs strategies to enhance communication during play)
with the understanding that the needs of each child and family change over time. Embedding strategies into daily routines such
as mealtime give you and your child plenty of opportunities to practice the new skills that she is learning!
Our services are provided in your child's natural environment. A natural environment is any place that your child lives, plays,
and interacts; some examples are daycares, playgrounds, relatives' houses, and grocery stores. Early Intervention services are
designed to help your child function in the places he goes throughout his day.
